Watched Da Vinci Code on Fri afternoon. Somehow, something is missing abt this movie..one that I cant put my fingers on though. It simply lacks the suspense and excitement that one gets when reading the book.
Overslept this morning. Had a short quarrel with Dad this morning for no apparent reason. He simply threw his temper. Btw we reached Suntec, it was 0830. So we went to have breakfast first before joining in halfway in the Big Walk. I think I ate more than I walked manz. Terrible. My brother and PP are always soo nice to me though..hehe
My china trip is arriving soon! This is like the only event I am looking forward to now. Really need a break from work. I have been committing some minor foolish mistakes in my work. My concentration sphere is seriously shrinking and my mind is always in a blank state recently.
I still feel v perturbed. Many things are bogging me..deadlines to meet but yet I dunno how to go about doing it. Stressed. I wanna go out enjoy. Yet when I go out, I cant enjoy in peace. Heavy heart. Arghhhhh!

Articles
An article on the worldwide recall of 'Bausch and Loam ReNu MultiLoc Solution' in the ST gets me very uneasy. I have been using this product ever since I started wearing contact lenses 2 years back and now I am told, it contains some chemcial which leads to fungus infection! There is the danger of going blind. Geez..now I am comtemplating, or rather have to discard the unused bottles.
Finally, I manage to force myself to pick up an issue of theTimes Magazines. It is quite a good read, and to my surprise, it has lost (phew..for good) the effect of sleeping pills which I had dreaded during sec school days. Ever since entering the working world, my temper has turned for the worst and I get mood swings periodically. Occasionally, I retreat into my world of self-denial and mediates, ponders what exactly life is all about. After reading a few articles on the chaotic and hellish lives in N.Korea and Nepal, I think I am really quite fortunate to be living in Singapore and should be contented. But of course, it doesnt harm to have more..oops.
Went to Kuan Yin Tang at Bugis for the first time in my life. Also qiu qian..the first time I tried it :)
Received a belated bday present(my bday was more than 1 mth ago..)
Dropped my hp again. I have lost count of the number of times..haiz

Slacking Sunday
Night shift today.
After 11am, no one was at home. I was alone again. I hate to admit this, but a feeling of loneliness engulfed me. This was when I decided to draw up a plan for myself. Besides work, watching TV dramas, zzz and hanging out with friends, I need to do something constructive. Sports. The urge to learn how to play squash, tennis and table -tennis hit me. (Though perhaps when i wake up the next day, the urge may have perished..umm) If possible, I hope to resume my calligraphy lessons. But my irregular working hours is simply a great hindrance. I must try to force myself to read the papers and Times magazines which i have ordered. Can you believe it? 4 issues of Times Magazines are still lying on my table. Untouched. In excellent condition. My parents roared, 'Then u order for wat huh? Waste of $$.'
Completed watching the TVB comedy 'To Catch the Uncatchable'. Dayo Wong once again shines in thie drama as the wacky, smart and flippant asthematic cop who can't even outrun an old woman. This drama makes me laugh like xiao manz.an effective stress-reliever..except the last episode. It was so bloody draggy and the ending was simply unnecessary. I love how romance blossoms between Mok and Vivi in this show. Soo funny and cute.
Then at the moment, I suddenly remember shockingly that I have 2 outstanding projects to be completed by end of this month and I have yet to even start on them! Oh my! Wasted one whole day. Must start to pia 2moro onwards..till the day I go for my overseas trip.

Empty
Moody.
Empty.
Aimless.
Dizzy.
Life seems meaningless.
Enlightened. Life is empty. @1700
@2100
My mood lifted tremendously cuz went to watch Poseidon with ML and her bf at JP. Got a free treat from them in the end (Thanks leh) Shall treat them another time. The movie was suprisingly exciting. Short and not draggy. I prefer it to MI3.
But after reaching home...I felt empty again.

Sinful Day
Vesak Day - But it makes no difference to me because I still have to work.
Went to a restaurant called 'Taiwan Xiao Chi' near Kallang Indoor Stadium. The place emitted a very retro feeling. LR ordered a plate of pig veins which I was like..'Eh'..and of cuz I dare not try despite her repeated praises. The porridge was quite nice though. Shall bring my parents there one day.
Next came the sinful moment. We intended to go to UE Square to find some cafe to have a drink but in the end, we entered a place called Canele Patisserie Chocolaterie at Robertson Walk. I had a very exotic drink ' Dry Desert Lime' which tasted like sour plum. Ok, I chose this drink because based on the introduction in the menu, its benefical to the health. ^_^ And then 2 pieces of highly sinful cakes which got me super bloated. All the cakes and cookies there are soo tempting. For a chocolate addict like me, they are incredibly irresistible! *yummy*

Headache
May11th
Its supposedly my off day but I spent the day with a splitting headache and an on/off flu. A day which I had planned with activities. Went to Chinatown to settle the tour affair. The person there ended up giving a long briefing which frankly speaking, only the first 20% got into my mind. The effect of the medicine was taking place and I was feeling so drowsy. In the end, feeling that I was in no state to throw darts, I smsed Jayson to inform him that I would not be going for the training. We were supposed to gear up for a competition in July. Well, I am a novice at darts-throwing and my name was simply added because they needed a gal to be in the team. Yes, as simple as that. A bit hesitant at first, but throwing darts seems fun and exciting!
Then after an hr nap at home@1630, I zoomed off to TBP to watch Mission Impossible 3 with my colleagues. The tickets had already been booked so I have to go. It was raining damn heavily and I can get drenched even just by standing at the bus-stop. Grrr..During the 20 min commercial break, I was basically dozing off in the cinema. Ok, the movie is full of action as expected though storyline is nothing new...about some'Rabbit Tooth' which by the end of the show, I still have no idea what is it. I like the music though. A classic. Oh yes, Tom Cruise is still dashing despite the obvious signs of ageing.
An interesting site on carebears (given by Shirleen) which I find interesting

Took the test. Result: I am a Funshine Bear. lol

May09
I was at first wondering if I should go to work or not since I am still on MC but finally decided to do so since I had recovered (90%) and moreover, I believe work was piling up. True enough, when i stepped into the room, calls kept coming in and lots of outstanding paper work. Headaches hit me again. It was a very busy day as usual. Many colleagues came in to have a little nice chat (without affecting work of cuz). Its a nice feeling. keke I mean work itself is mundane and un-exciting. Its the people around that make a difference rite...^-^
After work, I went for supper with my family. The atmosphere was somehow tense cuz Dad seemed to be in a bad mood and he kept saying we should have gone to place XXX or YYY instead of this ZZZ. I was quite pissed of but I heck-cared as I was simply too famished. I simply gobbled up the food. And I over-ate, again. The result is stomachache. Aww..now I missed the chicken chop fried rice which I ate with QQL at The Asian Kitchen last sunday. Its delicious. Think I am gonna go there soon. One of these days.
Upon reaching home, I came across an article in 'Xinmin Ribao' which talks about the upcoming filming of the much anticipated adaptation of 'Romance of 3 Kingdoms' - 'Chi Bi Zhi Zhan'. The confirmed casts so far are Chow Yun Fat as Zhou Yu, Tony Leung Chiu Wai as Zhuge Liang and Lin Zhiling as Xiao Qiao. Where is my Andy Lau?? I am a bit disappointed as there had been talks that he would be cast as Zhuge Liang - my fave historical figure. Alas. But my day brightens up as I read from one of the fan sites that MOST LIKELY, he will be holding a concert next year in HK. Yes, this time round, by hook or by crook, I will definitely go.

Backdated Entries - Apr to May
Finally, I have set my mind on starting a blog, after somehow been inspired by some friends..lol.
Many things happened in the past month manz. Though Apr is my month of birthday, but as in previous years, it is a month of torture. Topmost was the agonizing law exams! Never before had I hated studying so much. Juggling between work and the terrible exams was certainly no easy feat. I have undergone nights of insomnia because of this and to make it worse, the readings were sooo much and damn difficult to understand. Anyway, when finally Apr 25 (@1200) arrived, it was a jubilant moment for me. Relieved. Time to enjoy again. But then, I still felt a heavy load. Really hope that I can pass these exams. Crucial.
Apr was also the month that I got posted to Chops Room (have to stay there till end of June). Somehow, the work in there was in a messy state and the workload is forever never-ending. And the phones keep ringing non-stop which can get very irritating. I realize one has to be very meticulous and diplomatic ( cuz of leave applications and planning of rosters). Its hard to please everyone. Ever since I have been there, there is practically no time for me to go for my break too, unlike when i was at the ground zone. I guess I am still new there and reall y needs more time to familiarize myself . One thing good about being in the Chops Room is that time flies! Before you know it, its time to knock off! And also, I get a chance to know my colleagues better too. We get to interact and talk more often. ^-^
May04
Met up with YX and Jess. First (upon my insistence), we went to eat kaya toast at the Ya Kun flagship outlet at Far East Square. Then, we went to try out the special paper wok food (ok, whatever u call it.i 4got the name) at a Jap eatery and finally a tea session at Haagen Diaz. We specially chose the cushion seats so that we could sit more comfortably. All 3 of us never expected that we would chat (or crap) till so late..hehe..and YX was worried that she would have to climb the gate to her hostel since the gate was supposed to be locked at 11pm.
May 05-06@ chalet.
I went to the chalet organized by NWP commitee on friday night after knocking off from work. It was quite fun. We went for roller coaster rides at the Escape Theme Park, cycling, playing games ( and I got to learn a new game known as Gullotine)..etc. It was so funny that we rented bicylces for 1 hr but yet we spent most of that 1 hr snapping photographs. But on the first night, sleeping was a terrible experience. 6 of us had to share 2 pathetic mattresses on the ground floor and we were freezing. We slept at around 4 am plus but none of us could actually sleep in peace..and by 7 plus, we simply woke up. My back was aching. After the BBQ on sat night, I went back to work. Then I fell sick..haiz. MC for 2 days. But all in all, it was enjoyable.

May03
Attended the WPS at Dover. After which, I met up with Shirleen and Rachel for dinner at Holland V. We were hesitant on where to go among the array of choices but we eventually settled for a romantic place which yet somehow has a spooky ambience. A refreshing change.
