Took time off today and I ended up sleeping the whole day at home. The time off is supposedly for me to rest, to recharge but I think I became more tired instead.

Self-reflection 2
Critical need to take a day off next week to recharge myself. I hope that I won't flare up so easily liao and keep showing black face. I resolve to be back to what I am like in school days, before entering working world. Carefree, happy and always occupied with my own interests, and not think too much. :)

Black-faced Lingzzz
Its N.S today again. *yawn*
Finished watching 金枝欲孽 . Wanted to pen a review on it, but too lazy and no time. Anyway, I rate it 8/10..
Just started on 战神 a Taiwanese idol drama. I do not watch idol dramas but I think I shall give it a try as I like the ending song..always sing it during KTV.
Almost done with the book 'Tuesdays with Morries'. A thin and easy-to-digest motivational book. Reading it lifts up my spirits.
Still halfway through 水煮三国 . Not sure when I will resume reading it. Currently, I am more eager to start on another 励志小品 , highly recommended by LR.
Due to fatigue and stress, I have been showing 'black face' more frequently. Sorry, friends. Just do not take it heart k...not personal attacks or displeasure...just ignore me the nx time u see me in foul mood. :)

Self reflection
What friends thought of me:
Quiet, nice and helpful but anti-social and has a bad temper. Decisive and yet indecisive.
I totally agree. Since young, I have always viewed myself as AS(anti social). I hate taking initiative to start conversations. Pple who are VS (very social) may or may not click well with me (I do have gd friends who can talk n socialize) but I can definitely click well with AS people. Hmm..two negatives make a postive bah..hehe. When hang out in large grps (more than 5), I find it hard to fit in and join in the discussion, either due to lack of interest or knowledge or I find it plain weird. Most of the time, I end up listening. This is why at times, I prefer to go out in grps of 1-3. If 1-1 or 1-2, I can tok and crap more at ease. However, hanging out in large grps has its fun moments too. Best formulae in my view: 70% (small) and 30%(large). Sounds like buying 4D..ummm.
Bad temper..LR says I have become v tempermental esp ever since I have graduated. Yah, my temper gets worse and worse. When I am in a foul mood or angry, I won't conceal it. When this happens, one piece of advice: Either you get lost and leave me alone till I simmer down. Or alternatively, try to pacify me. Serious. Wahh..think i must curb my bad temper liao.
I am decisive when big matters are concerned but not when small matters are involved like buying clothes, bags, where to makan etc..hmm. Depends
Flipped through "Mind Your Body'. Never knew that there is such 'illness' termed persistent tiredness. Think I am suffering from that manz..always feel so tired, sleepy, lethargic and having dizzy spells. Growing old liaoo

What a day!
Attended LX' ROM at Sembawang Park. She looks so radiant and marital bliss is written all over her face. Really feel happy for her. How time files! When we first knew each other, we were still in JC1, gushing over tv dramas and cute tv starlets...hehe Now, she has bade singlehood farewell and entered a new chapter in her life.
Got a real shock when my colleague told me that I was assigned to be the note taker for a visit. But yet, I am on leave and I didnt manage to check my email after coming back from overseas. Haizzzz.....I have to explain my absence when i get back. Luckily she stood in for me ..else even worse. I feel so pai seh..
Met up with Shirleen @ our normal hang-out - West Mall Coffee Bean. To our horror, the price of the all time favourite ice-blended mocha has risen! Prices are rising everywhere..
Hehe...next destination seems to be Europe (Italy and Switzerland) . Hopefully in Jan. Cool...^-^

CCP : "Commercial China Package"
Finally back from my overseas trip. 8 days of being away from home, from work. Never knew that going for hols can be so tiring manzz. Provinces we went to were Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi and Shanghai.
Its really an eye-opener and precious experience for me. One thing that most intrigues me is the road system over there. Wahh, the pedestrain crossings are practically useless. Cars are more powerful than pple. Crossing the road and driving in China is damn difficult and requires a lot of skills and courage...hehe. Yr life seems to be at risk. Oh yes, horning there is like music. Everyone horns. ..bi bi bi bi.....*sweats*
There is this optional tour which obviously is not optional at all..costing 400 RMB. I spent this 400 RMB to sleep during a musical, to brave the roaring winds at Xin Tian Di and watching the musical fountain in which throughout the waves only go in 2 directions - back n forth.
What is really unexpected is that we were all brought to those so called state owned shops and gena 'chopped'. Its damn hard to resist not buying those ex 'national treasures' given their excellent sales tactics. Hehe..after this, we even imagine ourselves being carrots of different heights (symbolizing different spending power) walking into those 'tai lam tiam', with the salesgals sharpening their choppers waiting for the opportunity to chop us. Damn bloody funny...if you can visualize it in your mind. At the end of the trip, we all become shorter. lol My money is spent on 'grass, rocks, stones and worms' Haizzz..I realize I din even buy any clothing or ladies stuff. I was quite close to buying the 'famous' skincare product 'Xi Shi Mei'. I was offered a so called standard price of 1500 RMB. When I showed signs of hesitation, they cut to 1000 RMB. I still think it was ex..so I walked away. The salesgal came along and offered 800 RMB. I wavered a bit bt I still stood firm to my decision. Then final offer: 600 RMB. Can you believe it? Without any desire to bargain, they actually cut the price from 1500 to 600. This made me doubt the quality and credibility of the product. I am glad that I had not bought it or else the hole will be even bigger liao.
The open concept in the hotel is amazing. All glass doors. You can see everything. Ehh..I am not so open-minded though. In the end, Jess and I had to set formation to cover the doors..how we placed the unused towels, using pillows etc...hehe. Mineral water there is expensive.even more ex than beer. Interestingly, the brand of the most famous brand of water is 'Wa Ha Ha'. Everytime we want water, we wld say, 'Get me Wa Ha Ha'...haha
This trip was livened up to a huge extent by the crappy cold jokes by the 3 guys(WL, JL and ZD). They made me laugh like xiao. Jess and I got so 'cold' that at times we can't tahan..haha. A lot of classic lines and jokes were thought of during this trip. Top few on my ranking are:
1) The story of Carrots gena chopped
2) Modified Kui Hua Bao Dian
3) Improvised line : Shang You Tian Tang, Xia You Yan Wang
4) 'Yi Pian Qing Xin' becomes "Yi Pian/Ji Tao Cheng Sim" (in hokkien) - Yi Pian Qing Xin is the name of the expensive " Zi Sha Hu' we bought. Which I think its soo true.
Hilarious.
The 6 of us laughed uncontrollably during the trip. The people one travels with on a trip does make a huge difference.
All in all, I will say this trip falls short of my expectations(cuz of the tai lam diam, gena chased like ducks, making us stay long at places which we shdnt, bad arrangement by the tour leader). But its still a nice trip. A good break from work! I look forward to going overseas again. hehe..taiwan, japan, europe, tibet, hk?
